Tell us about it

Too late now Too late now Colin Adsley

CPRE Northumberland tries to keep abreast of any developments in the county which might affect our countryside or coast.

We aim to find out what is planned and assess its impact on local areas and the communities who live in them. But sometimes relying on the internet or local newspapers is too impersonal or may give us too little time to respond effectively.

If you know of some development planned for the area where you live, and have a concern about it, we would love to hear from you. It might be a building project on what was previously farmland; or a structure you consider would be an eyesore; or a new road bringing noise and traffic fumes to an area of peace and tranquillity.

Even more important are changes that can occur unexpectedly - like the removal of a tree or section of hedgerow without permission, or a development which does not observe the strict conditions laid down for it in when the plans were passed.

Whatever it is, simply send an email to the address below.

We regularly support action groups fighting inappropriate developments anywhere in Northumberland. Your timely information could alert us to a potential threat we would want to know about and get involved with.

You might even be prepared to help us more regularly by acting as a contact for your area, putting us in the picture as and when something new arises. If you have a public-spirited concern for our green heritage, you could be just the person we are hoping to hear from.
