Back in 2015 we opposed an application to build 5 houses on Green Belt land west of Church View, Longhorsley, and the planning committee agreed with us. However the case raised its ugly head again when the developer took it to appeal.

We have now heard that the appeal has been unsuccessful.

Highways England has just published detailed plans for the sections of the A1 north of Morpeth...

Mitford Estates, aiming to build on land west of Scotch Gill in Morpeth, is now pursuing two applications.

Our 2016 AGM was held at Hexham Abbey on the evening of Wednesday, 13 July.

This well-attended event took place on Monday (Bank holiday) 30 May, with speeches from Anne-Marie Trevelyan, MP for Berwick-on-Tweed, and from special guest, Bill Oddie.
