Link House Beadnell

The saga of Link House, the cottage in the dunes at Beadnell which has been the subject of a protracted planning application, has received a jarring twist in the story.

The Secretary of State has decided to support Newcastle Council over the Green Belt development in Woolsington Woods. 

Concerns have been raised over the changes to the handling of new planning applications by Northumberland County Council. Designed to streamline the process and speed up through-put, they could seriously weaken accountability and reduce the opportunities for democratic representation.
